Built by Allakuli "The Builder" Khan, between 1832 and 1841, Tash Khovli is meant to be a more sumptuous alternative to the Kuhna Ark. It is said to have more than 150 rooms and 9 different courtyards. It is also elegantly decorated with ceramic tilework, and numerous wood and stone carvings. Most magnificent is the throne room, which is located in the south wing.
