Mausoleum of Mohammad Ibn Zayid: 37.666208, 62.145785
Mausoleum of Mohammad Ibn Zayid
This mausoleum was constructed in the 12th century, and is an important holy shrine for the Sufi order of Islam. That said, its quite likely that Mohammad Ibn Zayid is not actually buried here, as the Sufi holy man died in the 8th century after leading an uprising against the Omayads. Regardless of who is actually buried here, the mausoleum is a wonderful example of Islamic architecture and well worth the visit.
